Top of Google in 5 steps
The following tips show you how to get to the top of google, for your selected keywords, in less than 2 months making your business web-ready when your big marketing push takes place.
1. Select your domain name with a focus on your service that you are going to provide. As an example, you're reading this because you may have searched for "tring web design" on Google. The first step is registering a domain name has a focus that clearly and directly reflects the purpose of your website and thus, your business.
2. Give your website a technical structure that allows search robots to easily index you pages whilst concentrating on the important content. This means CSS positioning. Position your content right at the top of the page structure, with the navigation (which appears on every page, and is a mass of links) lower down on the page.
3. Use keywords and description tags, a lot of SEO articles will write these elements off as folly, but do include them, and make them unique for every page you write. They are there for a reason, so why not pay attention to them?
4. Write your main content with passion. You are starting this business so why not tell people about it? Your content will reflect your passion and very soon your Google ranking will increase because of this. Tell people why your business is better than others and what are the features and benefits of your product. Include keywords in your text. Link to external content to back up your reasoning.
5. Market the site. Dont bother with free link directory submissions. This is like blanket fire hoping you'll hit something. Gain reputation by getting reciprocal links with sites of similar interest. Post meaningful answers to questions on forums (include a link back to your website in your signiature). Try Social book-marketing, like Digg!. You've got unique content out there so tell the people who will be interested in it, about it.
There is a lot more to it than that. But if you get the above right then you take a lot of work out of the equation. Keep adding quality content, keep submitting your sitemap and keep building backlinks to your site from other quality sites. Click here for more SEO tips from Tring Web Design
