With over 7 years professional experience of designing, building and maintaining websites I can offer a wealth of expertise in this area. My first placement was with a niche market magazine publisher building new, and mainting existing sites designed to push magazine subscriptions. I have a BA in Product Design and the skills learnt whilst on the degree are transferrable to web design and development. I use open source software and fully participate in the communities around them.

For managing websites I use CMS Made Simple which is a Content Management System (CMS). It is a mature piece of software and has a very active community. It is very search engine friendly out of the box and is highly customisable. Other tools include, phpBB, vbulletin, oscommerce.
