I have tried many content management systems over the years, some are small and easy to use but suited to a specific application, such as news. Others have been bloated and try to squeeze every feature anybody could want into one package. The main principle behind them is to allow anyone to edit websites without needing a knowledge of HTML.

CMS Made Simple is my current favourite. It is based on smarty, a php template engine and is incredibly quick to get a simple brochureware style site up and running. The basic features can be extended by modules such as a form builder, newsletter system and news. If you have a website designed by me, then this will be the CMS system it runs on and I will provide full instructions on using it. If you already have a static website and want a bit more functionality then I can easily convert your existing site to work with CMS Made Simple.
